The Aviation Knowledge Center is a reference library for the concepts that aviation operations actually run on — material classification, traceability and documentation, receiving and release, and the commercial obligations that outlive a transaction.
It is written for people doing the work: buyers and sellers of aircraft parts, operators, repair organizations, and anyone assessing systems for an aviation business. Entries explain what a term means, why it exists, where it shows up in real work, and — usually the most useful part — what it is commonly confused with.
Where a concept varies by contract, operator, jurisdiction or industry convention, the entries say so rather than presenting one organization's practice as a universal rule. Where a claim touches regulation, it is described narrowly and pointed at the applicable source. These pages are an orientation for commercial and operational staff, not a compliance reference for a specific operation.
Parts and inventory
How aviation material is classified, and what each class obliges you to track.
